Your First Syllabus in 5 Steps
Step 1: Navigate to Syllabi
- Open the main navigation menu
- Click on “Syllabus”
- You’ll see the syllabus dashboard with existing syllabi and creation options
Step 2: Choose Creation Method
- Click the “Create Syllabus” button
- Choose your preferred method:
- Quick Start: Just enter a title and start building immediately
- Step-by-Step Wizard: Provide detailed information upfront
Step 3: Create Your Syllabus
If using Quick Start:
- Enter a syllabus title
- Click “Create Blank Syllabus”
- You’ll be redirected to the edit page to start building
If using Step-by-Step Wizard:
- Fill in basic information: title, description, subject, grade level
- Add learning objectives (one per line)
- Set timeline expectations
- Add resources and supplementary materials
- Review and create
Step 4: Add Units & Structure
- Once in the edit interface, click “Add Units”
- Create your course structure by adding unit titles
- Organize units in logical learning sequence
- Save your unit structure
Step 5: Add Activities
- Click “Add Activities” to browse your activity library
- Search and filter to find relevant activities
- Select multiple activities and add them to your units
- Arrange activities within each unit for optimal learning flow
