Quick Start Guide

Your First Syllabus in 5 Steps

Step 1: Navigate to Syllabi

  1. Open the main navigation menu
  2. Click on “Syllabus”
  3. You’ll see the syllabus dashboard with existing syllabi and creation options

Step 2: Choose Creation Method

  1. Click the “Create Syllabus” button
  2. Choose your preferred method:
    • Quick Start: Just enter a title and start building immediately
    • Step-by-Step Wizard: Provide detailed information upfront

Step 3: Create Your Syllabus

If using Quick Start:

  • Enter a syllabus title
  • Click “Create Blank Syllabus”
  • You’ll be redirected to the edit page to start building

If using Step-by-Step Wizard:

  • Fill in basic information: title, description, subject, grade level
  • Add learning objectives (one per line)
  • Set timeline expectations
  • Add resources and supplementary materials
  • Review and create

Step 4: Add Units & Structure

  1. Once in the edit interface, click “Add Units”
  2. Create your course structure by adding unit titles
  3. Organize units in logical learning sequence
  4. Save your unit structure

Step 5: Add Activities

  1. Click “Add Activities” to browse your activity library
  2. Search and filter to find relevant activities
  3. Select multiple activities and add them to your units
  4. Arrange activities within each unit for optimal learning flow
