Payment Settings

Why This Matters

Payment Settings is where you connect the dots between “schools paid” and “money in your account.” Until your payment account is set up and verified, earnings can’t reach you—so this is the one place that makes sure you actually get paid. Set it once, and SprintUp (and our payment partner) handle the rest.

What You’ll Do Here

  • Create your payment account — Tell us who you are (or your organization) and where you’re based so we can send payouts to the right place.
  • Complete setup — Add your bank details and confirm your identity on a secure, trusted page. That’s how we keep payouts safe and compliant.
  • Check your status — See at a glance whether you’re all set (verified), still in progress (pending), or need to fix something (e.g. restricted).
  • Open your payment dashboard — Once verified, you can open your full payment dashboard in a new tab for detailed history and settings.

Step 1: Create Your Account

The first time you open Payment Settings, you’ll see a short form. We only ask what we need to create your payment account:

  • Email and phone — So we can reach you if needed.
  • Country — Determines which currencies and payout options you get.
  • Account type — Individual (you personally) or Company (school or organization). Creators often use Individual; schools often use Company.
  • Name — Your full legal name (individual) or your business/school name (company).
  • Address — So the account is properly registered.
  • Tax ID — For company accounts only; helps with invoicing and compliance.

Fill it in and tap Create Account. Nothing is charged; we’re just registering your payout account.

Step 2: Complete Setup (Add Bank & Verify)

After the account is created, you’ll see a prompt to Complete Setup. This takes you to a secure page where you:

  • Add your bank account — Where you want your earnings sent. The details are encrypted and never stored on SprintUp.
  • Verify your identity — A quick check so we can safely send you money and meet financial rules.

You’ll be redirected back to Billing when you’re done. If you need to finish later, you can return to Payment Settings and use Complete Setup on Stripe again.

ℹ️

The setup page is run by our payment partner (Stripe). It’s the same trusted flow used by millions of businesses—so your bank and identity details stay secure.

Step 3: You’re Ready

Once setup is complete, your account status will show Verified. You’ll see:

  • Account overview — Account type, country, currency, and a short ID for reference.
  • Account information — Email, name, and whether a bank account is connected (e.g. “Connected” or “Not connected”).
  • Open payment dashboard — A button that opens your full payment dashboard in a new tab. Use it to see payout history, update bank details, or manage advanced options.

From here, payouts can run automatically according to the platform’s schedule—no extra steps unless you want to change something.

What the Statuses Mean

StatusWhat it means for you
Not connectedYou haven’t created a payment account yet. Use the form in Step 1.
Pending verificationAccount created; now add your bank and complete identity verification (Step 2).
VerifiedAll set. You can receive payouts.
RestrictedSomething needs attention (e.g. expired or invalid details). Complete any requested steps so we can resume payouts.

If your status is Pending or Restricted, follow the instructions on the page (usually “Complete Setup” or “Complete Setup on Stripe”) to fix it.

For Creators vs Schools

  • Creators — Usually choose Individual and use their own name and address. That’s all you need to start receiving earnings from your products.
  • Schools — Often choose Company and use the school’s name, address, and (if applicable) tax ID. That keeps billing and payouts aligned with the institution.

Same place, same flow; we just ask for the details that fit your role.

ℹ️

Complete setup as soon as you can after creating your account. Until you’re verified, payouts can’t be sent—so a few minutes here means your earnings can start flowing.
