Preview mode lets you experience your activity exactly as students will see it, catching issues before assignment.

Two Preview Modes

Teacher Preview

See the complete picture with all teaching resources.

What you’ll see:

• ✅ Answer keys and correct answers highlighted
• ✅ Teaching instructions and notes
• ✅ All resource materials
• ✅ Activity settings and metadata

Use Teacher Preview to:

• Verify answer keys are correct
• Check teaching resources are complete
• Review activity settings
• Ensure learning objectives are clear

Student Preview

Experience the activity exactly as students will.

What you’ll see:

• Clean, student-focused interface
• Interactive questions (just like students will)
• Any hints or help you’ve enabled
• Progress indicators

Use Student Preview to:

• Test all interactive elements
• Check question clarity
• Verify timing and flow
• Ensure mobile responsiveness

How to Use Preview

During Activity Creation

1. While editing - Use the preview panel on the right side
2. Switch between views - Use the Teacher/Student toggle
3. Test interactions - Try answering questions yourself
4. Check different layouts - Test both vertical and horizontal views

For Existing Activities

1. From Activities page - Click the “Preview” button on any activity card
2. From Prompt Studio - Use the preview panel while editing
3. Standalone preview - Open activity in a dedicated preview window

Testing Checklist

Content Testing

• Text displays correctly without formatting issues
• Images load properly
• Instructions are clear and understandable
• Learning objectives are visible

Question Testing

• All question types work correctly
• Correct answers are properly recognized
• Feedback appears when expected
• Hints are helpful and accurate
• Progress tracking works

Functionality Testing

• Navigation between questions works
• Submit/check answers functions
• Mobile layout looks good
• Loading times are reasonable

Settings Verification

• Randomization works (if enabled)
• Timing functions correctly
• Access restrictions apply properly

Common Issues to Watch For

Content Issues

• Images not loading - Check file sizes and formats
• Text formatting problems - Avoid copying from Word documents
• Broken links - Test all external resources

Question Issues

• Checkbox questions - Ensure all correct answers are selected
• Matching pairs - Test drag-and-drop functionality
• Fill-in-blank - Check for typos in accepted answers

Technical Issues

• Mobile display - Test on actual phones/tablets
• Browser compatibility - Check in Chrome, Safari, etc.
• Loading speed - Large images or videos can slow things down
